Think about a policy that impacts your current nursing practice, organization, or the people served through your organization. The policy can be at any level (unit, organizational, community, local, state, national, or global).
- Explain the policy and its purpose.
- Who is impacted by the policy, and how are these stakeholders involved in the policymaking process?
- What stages of the policymaking process are underway (for example, is the policy still in a planning phase? Or is implementation or evaluation underway?)
- What nursing strategies do you recommend to facilitate implementation of this policy?
